Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

If this is your first visit, my goal is to make the experience simple, comfortable, and focused on you.

Your first appointment is about getting to know you, understanding your goals, and creating a plan that feels right for your body. Let’s take the stress out of it — here’s everything you need to know before you come in.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

  • Conversation & Health History

We’ll start by talking about your health concerns, daily activities, and goals for care. This helps me understand the full picture of what you’re experiencing.

  • Physical Assessment

A movement-based physical exam allows me to see how your body is functioning. This may include checking posture, mobility, strength, or specific areas of discomfort.

  • Findings & Care Plan

I’ll share what I’ve found in clear, simple terms. Together, we’ll decide on a care plan tailored to your needs. I’ll also make any appropriate referrals so you’re fully supported.

  • Treatment

Most people receive treatment on their first visit. This may include manual adjustments or mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, or exercise and lifestyle guidance.

FAQs

  • Nope — you don’t need a referral. Chiropractors are primary health care providers, which means you can come straight to me for chiropractic care, acupuncture, or rehab.

  • Whatever you’re comfortable in! Clothing that’s easy to move in (like athletic or loose clothes) works best. But if you’re coming from work or an event, that’s okay too — I can adapt treatment to what you’re wearing.

  • Aside from wearing something comfortable, it’s helpful if you bring along any recent imaging (like X-rays, MRIs, or reports) and updated information about your health history. If you don’t have these, that’s okay too — we’ll go through everything together.

  • Yes — both of the clinics I am located at offer direct billing to many insurance providers. If your plan doesn’t allow direct billing, I’ll provide a receipt you can submit for reimbursement.

  • It depends on your goals, what’s going on in your body, and how your body responds to care. Some people feel better after just a few visits, while others benefit from ongoing support. We’ll make a plan together that feels right for you.

  • Yes! I love working with people during pregnancy and postpartum. I’m Webster Technique certified, which means I use safe, gentle methods designed specifically for pregnancy-related care.

  • Treatment should never feel scary or painful. You might feel some pressure, a stretch, or mild temporary soreness (like after a good workout), but many people notice relief and more ease in their movement right away.

  • That’s completely normal! I use a variety of techniques, and I’ll always explain what I’m doing before I do it. If you’d prefer to avoid certain types of adjustments, that’s no problem — we’ll choose an approach that feels comfortable for you.

Still have questions?

That’s okay — we’ll figure it out together.
